Over on Twitter, artist Simon Gane is talking about the fact that he’s illustrating an issue of GODZILLA LEGENDS for us. The December issue features Rodan and is written by Jonathan Vankin and colored by Ronda Pattison. I’ve previously shown the Art Adams cover art for the issue, but let me reinforce Gane’s tweet by giving you a look at what he and Ronda have done in the issue.
Since this scene happens on pages 2-3, it shouldn’t spoil anything for you but it should help clue you in to the fact that this is a helluva nicely drawn, action-filled standalone issue.
(GODZILLA LEGENDS is the series that follows GODZILLA: GANGSTERS & GOLIATHS, the last issue of which ships tomorrow. LEGENDS offers up a new creative team and a new monster featured in each stand-alone issue. Matt Frank is handling writing/art on the first issue, which features Anguirus and is in stores on November 16, with the Vankin/Gane issue following in December.)
