Tomorrow at 1: PM at the Barnes & Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles, there’s a big TRUE BLOOD signing, which will include actors from the show (Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Nelsan Ellis, and DeborahAnn Woll), as well as co-writer Mariah Huehner and editor Scott Dunbier, signing copies of the first TRUE BLOOD hardcover. Go here to B&N’s site for details.
The final issue of G.I. JOE: COBRA (until the big “Cobra Civil War” relaunch in April, issue 13, was very well-received at both Ain’t It Cool News and on Blair Butler‘s Fresh Ink show, where it was her “Pick of the Week” and the issue got 4.5 stars at Comics Bulletin.
The announcement that ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS was purchased by Sony Pictures made it to sites I love, like Paste Magazine’s site, as well as Perez Hilton’s site and other places I wouldn’t quite expect.
CBR’s Robot 6 blog ran a bit on the promotion, too.
Trek Movie liked INFESTATION: STAR TREK #2 quite a bit.
And the awesomeness of the issue’s cover by John K. Snyder III is talked up right here.
In other STAR TREK news, the great Slate.com ran a piece called “What if the Villains Were Actually the Good Guys?” Number 10 on the list, amidst all the classic movies and shows they discuss, is our own STAR TREK: KLINGONS: BLOOD WILL TELL series.
Our latest remastered DOCTOR WHO CLASSICS series gets talked up at Down The Tubes.
Finally, this isn’t IDW-related, other than it’s one more talented creator I never got a chance to work with. But, even better, I did get to know him a bit. Which is one more reason the news that writer Dwayne McDuffie passed away this week was such a tragic shock. Scott Tipton’s Comics 101 tribute to Dwayne reminds everyone just how talented Dwayne was.
