The Week(s) in IDW

The recent trip to Pittsburgh to visit the set of the LOCKE & KEY TV pilot seems to have derailed my daily blog schedule, so let me catch up here with a run-down of what’s gone on while I was away:

STAR TREK: INFESTATION came out of the gates very strong, with a number of very positive reviews:

Also, John Byrne‘s second issue of JURASSIC PARK: THE DEVILS IN THE DESERT got a similarly nice review:

Ted Adams, IDW’s Publisher and CEO, and also the keynote speaker at this past weekend’s ComicsPRO gathering in Dallas, talked about the industry in an interview with ICV2, excerpted here at The Beat and also at Tom Spurgeon’s The Comics Reporter site.

Novelist Mario Acevedo talks about bringing his Felix Gomez character to life in comics in our KILLING THE COBRA graphic novel.

Steve Niles‘ EDGE OF DOOM comic was nominated for a Rondo Hatton Horror Award.

The Washington Post talked up our TRUE BLOOD comics.

Finally, Joe Hill, Gabriel Rodriguez and I did a signing at New Dimension Comics in Pittsburgh last week, which is covered here, along with an interview with Joe.

  1. Star Trek: Infestation was brilliant. Actually, it was the first Star Trek comic I’ve enjoyed from IDW in a long time.
