The most important G.I. Joe comic we’ve ever done…

…will be in stores this Wednesday.

We did an embargoed press event around this issue and where it leads, so if you don’t have a chance to get the issue on Wednesday, I’d recommend you skipping any JOE-related articles that go up this week, because they’re gonna spoil a pretty momentous thing.

The covers to G.I. JOE: COBRA #12, the issue in question, are above, and below is the original cover image by John Byrne that Antonio Fuso is emulating (the other cover to COBRA 12 above is by Zach Howard and Nelson Daniel).

I’m telling you, if you’ve ever cared about G.I. JOE, you’re going to see something in this issue that’s never been done before. We didn’t go out of our way to push this “thing” in the initial solicits, so I’d recommend tracking it down before it disappears. The issue is the catalyst for our entire year’s worth of JOE comics, which will include new titles along with it, so it’s pretty important in the scheme of things.
