We recently completed PHOENIX WITHOUT ASHES, Harlan Ellison‘s first new comic series in a decade (well, issue 4, the final issue, releases on November 17, but it’s at least all complete on my side), but the real gem here is going to be the collected edition in January. In addition to the regular collection, we’ll be doing a limited edition of the hardcover, which will include the entire 180-page prose story by Harlan and Edward Bryant, as well as the comic series and a tip-in plate signed by Harlan and series artist Alan Robinson.
And here’s a pic from my visit to Ellison Wonderland last Friday (that’s another of Harlan’s favorite pieces, an Einstein painting by Roman Genn. You can get a closer look at the pic at Roman’s site, here.
Any chance of more PHOENIX WITHOUT ASHES followup stories?
