The Week in IDW

Four days without updating this damned thing, huh? That’s unacceptable. It’s also a sure sign that Comic-Con is too rapidly approaching. I’ll run down the various panels I’m hosting and other such con-related goings-on soon, but for now, some good reviews and press that came out of the week:

Some good reviews of WIRE HANGERS #3:

Bloody Disgusting
“…definitely chalk this one up to a hidden gem.” (also features a 5-page preview)
Breakdowns & Beatdowns
“While Wire Hangers has a sprinkling of humor embedded throughout the tale, it’s visceral and gritty, owing more to the crime comic genre than straight-up horror or traditional superhero fare.”

More Than Capes
“The twist and turns are definitely not the only thing that make this book something you feel you constantly have to gorge on. The artwork is some of the most atmospheric art appearing on the comic shelves at the moment.”

30 DAYS OF NIGHT: DARK DAYS coming to DVD October 5.

An A grade for STAR TREK: BURDEN OF KNOWLEDGE #1 at TrekWeb.com.

Andy Schmidt talks to CBR about 5 DAYS TO DIE, his new series being released weekly over the five Wednesdays in September.

The first 5-page preview of the Wildstorm/IDW X-FILES/30 DAYS OF NIGHT at io9.com.
