Another interesting title that’s not necessarily the first thing to jump out at you in June amidst the dinosaurs of JURASSIC PARK and the first James Patterson project is a very special presentation of a classic Robert Bloch short story.
Starting with June 16th’s issue #1 release, we’ll be doing a three-part adaptation/re-telling of Bloch’s “Yours Truly, Jack the Ripper” story. This prose tale by the PSYCHO writer looks at the appearance of a present-day Ripper who just might be the real Spring-Heeled Jack.
The pedigree of the folks adapting the book is sound, too: much-lauded horror writer Joe R. Lansdale and his brother John L. Lansdale are penning the scripts, and Eisner-nominated artist Kevin Colden (FISHTOWN) is handling the art and colors in the unique way you see below.
Here’s the regular cover art, the negative-image incentive cover, and page 1 from the first issue, to show you the approach he’s taking.
