G.I. Joe: A Free American Hero

On Free Comic Book Day (May 1 this year), we’ll have two FCBD offerings. One will be G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO 155-1/2. This is the first time we’ve ever done an all-new, full-length story for FCBD. The issue picks up from the final issue of the old ’80s Marvel run of G.I. JOE. All 155 issues were presided over by writer Larry Hama, who’s returning to his roots and penning this tale, too. The FCBD Web site has an interview with the book’s editor, Andy Schmidt, where he talks about what people will see in the issue and where it leads from there.

Art on the comic is by Agustin Padilla. You can read the interview here.
